HOW A FIRST LIEUTENANT AND AN AMERICAN FLAG ARE BRINGING HOPE AND UNITY TO A DIVIDED NATION

7 Continents

Lt. Jordan Henrickson has successfully flown the American flag to all 7 continents, making a world record.

30 Countries

The flag has traveled to countries of peace and of unrest, including Iraq, Kuwait, Norway, Germany, and Australia.

It all started with an American flag and the thought to spread a message of hope and unity. When Lieutenant Jordan Henrickson was commissioned into the U.S. Army in 2014, his grandfather gifted him with an American Flag from US Flag Store. Since then, his flag has traveled all over the world in places of conflict and of peace. So far, it has flown to all 7 continents, in over 20 countries, and 2 foreign sovereignties. It is now being validated by the Guinness Book of World Records for being the only flag to be flown over all seven continents.

Lt. Henrickson is currently serving with the 1st Battalion 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas. To further the unity movement, he has promised his non-commissioned officers that in return for mentorship and hard work, he would reward them with a flag before departing due to a permanent change of station or when their active duty expired. The gifted flag would be flown along with a certificate and speech to the platoon regarding the significance of the flag, in hopes that they too will send their flags on journeys all over the world.

Despite already being a world record, Lt. Henrickson doesn’t want to stop there. He hopes to fly the flag in every country in the world to break another world record while also continuing to spread the message of hope and unity, which is exactly what our flag should represent. This year, the flag is slated to travel to Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, and the top of Mt. Everest.

US Flag Store would like to thank Lt. Henrickson for his service to our country and spreading such a positive message. We could not be prouder of his accomplishments or our flag that has endured these past 3 years of travel.

American Made

Our Flags Are Made to Last

Our cotton American flags are constructed out of 100% Mercerized cotton, which is made in the USA.The Mercerization process ensures that the cotton fully absorbs the rich red and blue dyes. While modern techniques are used to ensure the quality of the Embroidered Cotton flags, they are traditional in every other way, including being hand-sewn in Kansas City, Missouri. No other American flag has the same look and feel as a traditional, cotton flag. The beautifully embroidered star field and sharp attention to detail will satisfy even the most discerning patriot.

Embroidered Cotton U.S. Flags are best for customers whose top priority is flying a traditional flag. While these flags are designed for outdoor use, they must be handled with the proper respect and care they deserve to ensure a long lifespan.
