Bennington Flag

  • Year First Flown: Previously believed to be 1777; actually first flown in 1812
  • Design: A unique variation of the American Flag with 13 stars for the original 13 colonies, 7-pointed stars instead of the traditional 5-points, a longer blue section than any other U.S. Flag, and a ’76 to commemorate America’s victory in the Revolutionary War.
  • Use Today: In historical reenactments and to demonstrate American pride, just like any other American Flag.
